This year for youth conference they combined all of Hooper Stake and we were able to go up to Logan and stay at Utah State University!!! This is the first time I have been able to do this and let me tell you it was one of the BEST experiences I have ever had! From the speakers, to the dance, to the two hour testimony meeting, was all just so much fun! You could feel the spirit wherever you went. When we got up there I thought it would just be our stake up there but at the orientation there we saw two other stakes! One from Tooele and Gilmore. I was so excited because that meant more boys to meet! The first night there you could either swim or go play basketball, volleyball and some other sports. At first me, Meggen, and Jessie tried swimming but it was pretty crowded, so we went to go play volleyball. I got pretty competitive and started messing around with one of the players on the other team. It was so much fun. His name was Bryant and his friends name was Jake. We became great friends! Throughout the whole time me, Bryant, Jake, Meg, and Jess would do everything together that we could because it was just so much fun to be with new people. Hey and in the end it all worked out meeting new people because meeting new people means getting new phone numbers!!!:) All in all this youth conference was one of the best I have ever been too. And if I had this much fun at Youth Conference, EFY will probably be ten times better!
On our second day at Utah State they had Aggie games for us to play!! They had volleyball, rock climbing, tag, ultimate Frisbee, and Ninja Assassin. These games were so much fun but I got a little competitive in some of them. Especially in volleyball and racing Bryant to the top of the rock wall.
Jessie doing my hair for the dance.
Mckell, Kalan, Todd, and Josh
CHEERS!!!
Mariah, Me, and Markie
Bryant teaching us the Cupid Shuffle.
In the picture below I spun Lindsey around and she accidentally kicked somebody so that is why Jessie is covering her mouth.
Bryant (the one in the pink) was one Amazing dancer! He had a dance move to every song! Most of us just stood there in aww because we couldn't dance like that but he taught us a lot of the moves so now we can dance just as good as him! ha not.
Later that night after the dance the had a movie under the stars for us!! It was so much fun but we froze our butts off! On one of the buildings they have a giant A that lights up at night so of course we had to get a picture with it in the background!

Getting asked to Homecoming!
Last year I wasn't old enough to go to homecoming but this year I am, and I got asked twice!:) I got asked to Syracuse's homecoming with this kid named Brayden Ryan, then I got asked to Fremont's homecoming by my neighbor named Trevor Ward. I feel pretty special being able to go to two homecomings!:) Tuesday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m. I get a call from Brayden asking me if I wanted to go get ice cream with him at around 5?" And I said.."sure, are you in an ice cream mood or something?" And he said.."yeah, and I'm also in the mood to see you!":) So he comes and gets me and before he gets here my dad comes out in church clothes and I was like.."dad it's just getting ice cream, its not a date." Well he didn't fall for that he ended up interviewing Brayden like he does with all my dates. Well after the interview we go to Artic Circle and stayed there for about 45 minutes and then came home. When we got home he came inside to see my new puppy. As we are looking at the puppy Rockwell whispers.."Madi, something is in your room." Ha and Brayden was like.."Shh!" It was a little too late for that. Then my mom yells.."hey Madi, come downstairs real quick." And Brayden is still with me, so we go down stairs there are rose pedals and chocolate kisses leading all the way down to my bedroom and as I got closer to my room there were more and more of them and they were all over in my room. And on my bed was a dozen roses with a note that said...Madi, now that I have Kissed the ground you walk on...and showered you with Roses...will you Please go to homecoming with me!? I had the biggest smile on my face!:) I was speechless, that was the cutest thing ever! Keep in mind that Brayden was still with me. That was a little weird having him there when I saw it but it didn't really bother me. He was also glad he got to see me see it:) While we were at Artic Circle his parents came to my house and decorated my room:)
Getting asked by Trevor couldn't have came at a better time!!:) I was inside talking to my parents and my dad was saying how I was grounded next week because I took their pop once again. You would think after doing this for awhile I would learn. Ha well he was saying how I was going to be grounded and I was like.."dad I can't that's homecoming week and the game is on Friday and the dance is on Saturday." He was like.."well it probably too late to get asked but if you do get asked then I guess your not grounded and you can go." And literally like 2 seconds later the doorbell rang and I went to the door and I got asked!!:) I was pretty happy!
Answering Brayden back was pretty fun. Me and his friends were going to decorate his car while he was at work but he didn't have a spare pair of keys so that idea didn't work out too well. So we decided we would decorate his room instead. In my head it looked pretty cute but as we started doing it, it wasn't really decorating anymore it was more of trashing his room. We put shredded paper everywhere, and I mean everywhere! In his closet, book bag, drawers, in his pillows and bed. Ha and we also had a pretty intense paper fight!! After trashing/decorating Brayden's room I felt pretty bad. We used 2 whole garbage bags full of shredded paper to cover his room. It looked like it had just snowed. I started thinking to myself that was pretty mean way of me to answer him when he asked me so cute. But he said he liked it so i guess it was okay:) At least the poster turned out cute!
Answering Trevor
So for answering Trevor back I decided i would just decorate his car at school during lunch. Ha well I didn't feel like carrying all the stuff to school so i just decided I would do it on Thursday night instead. I called up Jess and her and Meggen came and helped me. We re-used the pop cans he gave me and tied them to the bottom of his car so when he drove it would make noise. Haha well not all the pop cans were empty so in 5 minutes we drank 4 lemonades. We didn't feel so good after doing that. But in the end it all worked out.
Jessie just cracks me up with the faces she makes.
